Map Recommendations for 1st time with Halo MP?

I did play through the Halo series until this year, so I missed the Golden Age of Halo multiplayer. That said, when I get install Halo MCC in a couple of days, I will want to try out MP. Would Halo 2 be the best play to start with multiplayer?

*note* I'm prepared to be owned by experienced players who will know moves and tricks that I don't have a clue about. Hopefully I can still have fun online, though.

And for the 1st time I re-spawned under the map in Hainan Resort, Which isn't bad considering I have quite a few hours in now.

Right now you will have some issues with the MP as it is still having problems. However, there is not really designated easier maps to start with.

Reach was a stand alone prequel to HALO CE, as such it had a full MP feature as did HALO 2 and 3. ODST was a minor chapter in the series, but to help sell it they included access to the HALO Reach Beta but also every MP map pack and original HALO 3 MP

HALO CE Anniversary is a HD remake of the original CE game that came with some MP of the old HALO CE PC maps and HALO 2, a great nod to the original MP but was built on using the Reach engine. You will need to own a copy of Reach to play the Reach MP

Depends on what you like.

Campaign: BO3 in my opinion. Halo 5's falls short and aside from skulls/intel/(online co-op. NO split screen) Has no replay value.

MP: Halo 5 and BO3 both I think will deliver the goods. I don't play MP but it's been said that unlike Halo 4, in Halo 5. Everyone will have all the MP maps (30 or so from what I read) this time around.

[/quote] The Halo CE10 MP is Halo Reach MP. You can access the MP through the Halo CE10 disk. One of the reasons for this was because my understanding of the Original Halo is that MP was Splitscreen and System link only, no online. So rather than build a
completely new MP engine to support the Anniversary edition, they made it part of Halo Reach's MP.
