Manually Adjust Screen Size On Xbox One / Series X | S

I am unsure how to resize the screen on Xbox, without changing the TV settings. It would be great to have a feature that allow you to manually adjusts screen size, as some TV's do not have the settings to adjust screen size. It is best to have the option to manually Adjust Screen Size on Xbox One and Series X | S consoles, such as how other consoles provide the feature.

    Examples:

Nintendo Switch Adjusting Screen Size - https://youtu.be/SzQB70NAJns?t=12

    Thank you for reading!

    Broken HDMI port

Hi. My name is Brilliant and I am happy to assist you.

Unfortunately, the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles do not have a built-in feature to manually adjust the screen size. The console relies on the TV's settings to adjust the screen size, so if your TV does not have the option to adjust screen size, you will not be able to adjust it on the console.

I hope this helps resolve your query.

    good evening

Unfortunately, the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles do not have a built-in feature to manually adjust the screen size. The console relies on the TV's settings to adjust the screen size, so if your TV does not have the option to adjust screen size, you will not be able to adjust it on the console.

However, there is a workaround for this issue. You can try using the "Overscan" setting on your TV. Overscan is a feature that allows you to adjust the size of the image being displayed on your screen. This will help you to adjust the screen size to fit the edges of your TV.

The steps to adjust overscan may vary depending on your TV, but you can usually find it in the TV's menu under "Picture" or "Display" settings. Once you have found the overscan option, you can adjust the size of the image being displayed on your screen.

It's worth noting that the feature is not available on all televisions and brands, it's a TV specific feature, you may want to check your TV's manual or consult the manufacturer's website for more information on how to access and use this feature.

Another option is to use a third-party device such as a scaler, which can adjust the resolution and aspect ratio of the video signal being sent to your TV. These devices can be connected between the Xbox and the TV, and can provide more flexibility in adjusting the screen size.

Choose Settings, general TV, and display options, video, fidelity, and over, scan, select the display tab and choose an override, dvi or HDMI

Most TVs have the ability to adjust their overscan, that’s where you should do it

How to adjust screen size on xbox series s

Hello, Novicefps. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas, and I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

I did not understand exact your issue. Is your Xbox not rendering the image on your whole screen (meaning it only uses a part of your TV screen to show images) or is it using a small resolution (meaning everything is way too big and games are played on a very small resolution and image quality)?

Are you able to share a picture of it?

    Waiting for your kind reply.

If I buy hogwarts Xbox one version and I get an xbox series will I be able to play my xbox one version in my xbox x/s

    Hi Roxy!

Your Xbox One version of Hogwarts Legacy will surely work on Xbox Series X/S version. I think it would still look better depending on the size and type of your monitor or display. The Xbox One version also supports HDR10 but there's no 4K in it like the Series X/S version.
