Manual override messes up my display

i have "override" the display in the options, disable autodetect, and manually configure it as 1080p/120Hz and now my monitor Sentey DOES recognize the entry display as 120fps instead of 60. thanks

Is the override TV settings an option on the TV or the Xbox? Or is that the display override to HDMI

Please try the following steps:

- From Home, navigate to Settings
- Then go to General > TV & Display options
- You’ll see a menu that shows Display, Setup and Advanced.
- Under Display, if your tv allows for it, click refresh rate in the drop down menu and change it from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. - Your system should automatically adjust
- You’ll receive a message if your tv does not support 4K with 120Hz, stating that the Xbox will revert to the highest resolution supported by your display that will allow for 120Hz refresh rate.
- You can then choose to keep those display options.

Or override you tv settings

- From Home, navigate to Settings
- Then go to General > TV & Display options
- You’ll see a menu that shows Display, Setup and Advanced.
- Navigate to Advanced > video fidelity & overscan > overrides
- In overrides, select HDMI and “use manual settings”

Thanks for coming to the forums. Have you thought about setting up manual settings? This should take care of the issue.

1. Want you to try using manual settings--go to settings>General>Tv and display options>Video fidelity &
   overscan>set display to HDMI
   
2. When asked to override your TV's recommended settings---select use manual settings.
   
3. Under settings>general>TV and display options set display to 1080p.
   
4. go to settings>general> TV and display options>video modes allow 50hz, 24hz, HDR, 4k, YCC4:2:2.
   
5. Go to settings>general>Volume and audio output under speaker audio go to Bitstream format and select
   dolby digital.

In the display settings go to video fidelity & overscan.

Click on overrides then go to hdmi and click use manual settings.

Go back and put the resolution back to 1080p or 1440 and click yes.

You should now be on 120hz and the in game picture will be fixed
