    Ok so i just bought a new console because i had so many problems with my old one so i took the hard drive and and put it in the new one. I played all my disk games just fine with the dlc but i tried to play GTAV and it says it cant read the disk. The thing
    is i downloaded when my other console broke so i read up and it said i need a license transfer. so I went to account then clicked on liswnse transfer and it said it was sucsefful and gave me a list of things i didnt now if i had to switch all of them or if
    it was the list of things i switched and could edit, so i backed out and then it was locked and i cant do a license transfer for 4 months and i didnt transfer anything. i didnt notice this right away the next day after the transfer i though everything was
    fine because i was not having problem but all my downloaded games dont play and my arcade games say they are trials is there anything i can do or do i have to wait the 4 months?

    H2O Alpha - License transfers are not meant to be used to share games/content with friends like that. That's why there are restrictions in place. It would be considered marketplace theft and you could be banned.

    I think xbox need to add more license transfers to the whole thing because I need to transfer stuff to my gf's xbox and I cant because I did a license transfer 2 weeks ago to help my friend out

    You can use the license transfer like that within reason, like in the case of the OP. But abuse of the transfer system can result in a ban for marketplace theft.

    Actually Smwutches you are wrong you are allowed to do it but you just have to wait the 3 or 4 month period to do it it says it on the website you are allowed to, but you are also right in the restrictions they have in place as well.

    You think they would authorize a license transfer before the four month waiting period in my case? I unintentionally did the license transfer to the same console I was using at the time about two weeks ago. Now that I have a new console, I have to wait until
    March of next year to transfer again.
