Mandatory update broke the Xbox s. Tried all options back to factory reset and offline...

Good evening Janet, thank you for replying. As the warranty is out of date. I have no options available. No phone number to phone and when request a call back they will not take mobile number. And when they phone back on a land line number and you press the 1 button to talk to operator it does not accept it. And cuts you off.

About to give up on Microsoft as customer service is beyond poor.

If you do not have a warranty and out-of-warranty service is not offered in your region, you can try to take your console to a local technician.

I tried this too and nothing. It wouldn't let me set up the Xbox afterwards because it needed that update. Before I factory reseted it, it had 3 options. "Update" "play offline" and "turn off console." After the factory reset I was then stuck on the setup with only two options "update" and "turn off console." When I tried to update my console refused to turn on again like it was doing before

Tried factory reset, which as you warned me made things even worse - Stay Offline option is gone, so I'm now in infinite update loop with no ability to use the Xbox at all. Will try Microsoft store next weekend.
