    Managing Captures Resets Page


    Trying to view/delete captures keeps resetting me to main Manage Captures page. How am I supposed to delete captures for a certain game when it brings me right back to the front page? I then have to go through menus again to resort the list. This is truly
    infuriating.

    For example, when trying to view a clip for For Honor, if I view the clip, then press b, I am taken to the front page of Manage Captures and I have to go through the whole process again to find the clips I'm looking for. It did not use to be like
    this. (I know I can use the bumpers, but when you have so many clips, that is kind of pointless and frustrating to use.)

    Is there a solution, or is managing captures a thing of the past, meaning goodbye community page? (It's already an eyesore with that Windows theme.)

    Thank you for bringing this up. Normally, you can only delete captures one at a time when managing game captures in the Xbox app. However, having the ability to delete multiple captures at once will be a very cool idea to have in the Xbox app. I would recommend
    that you share this with our Xbox team by using our Xbox UserVoice page. In this way, they can be able to consider it in the upcoming updates.

    Hi cjames311,

    Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with captures on Xbox One. When did you notice these captures were deleted? Have you checked to see if the console uploaded them to Xbox Live? To do so, check out:

    Manage your game clips on Xbox One    .

    You may want to try a
    hard reset     to refresh the capture list and try making new captures.

    Please keep us updated.

    Please stop advising people to reset there console for this issue. It doesn't resolve the problem with captures.

    Report it on the Xbox Live status page. There is a specific link provided to advise support of an outage.

    I agree, we need more file management tools on the Xbox for game saves, game storage and capture management. As it is right now, to manage captures we have to load them one by one to edit or delete.

    Screenshots and clips are initially stored on the console HDD and are uploaded manually to OneDrive from the
    Manage captures section of your profile or from the Community page.

    It's not automatic like uploading shots and clips to XBLive if you have that setting enabled. Check
    System>Settings>Preferences >Capture and share.

    Capture game clips and screenshots may assist you.

    This support page, Manage storage on Xbox has information to assist you.

    Formatting the USB, with NTFS using a PC, is correct if you want to store game clips and screenshots on it and make it your capture location. Be aware that any captures stored on an external drive cannot be uploaded to XBox Live and your activity feed or clubs etc.

    Formatting the USB by using the console to format is for storing games and apps.
