    Hi

    I am having a problem starting up a game called The Escapists, which was previously a Free with Gold game.

    Whilst months go i ran out of Xbox Live Gold and i was unable to play the free games until yesterday when i bought a renewal. I attempted to start the game but instead it comes up with an error saying "Make sure your subscription is active"

    I was able to play other free with gold games such as Dynasty Warriors Orochi 3, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling The Escapists but it still comes up with the same error

    Hello,

    i activated my 1month gold that i got with the xbox i bought. But it says that i dont have subscription to live. "Make sure your subscription is active". Xbox.com says that i have active subscription - but i still cant play in Live.

    My last 14days period worked fine.

    How should i fix it?

    Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    Does the subscription show as active here? account.microsoft.com/services

    If it does, then I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

    - Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

    - Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

    - Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

    If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

    - Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    - Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    - Select Reset console.

    - Choose Keep Games and Apps

    Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

    Game started working eventually.... just left it on the error screen and about 10 minutes later it all the sudden started to load. :(. Thanks for the help.

    Check http://commerce.microsoft.com for active subscriptions to make sure that you have a active subscription.

    After that try removing your account from your console and redownload the account.
