    Make All Owned Xbox Games Playable Via Xbox PC App (Not Just Gamepass Games)


    Currently the only Xbox games you can play via the Xbox PC app are Gamepass games and whatever

    Gamepass games you buy and install through the Xbox PC app. Originally this app was intended to gain more gamepass subscribers by allowing XBox Gamepass games to be played on PC. And then Microsoft added the ability to buy, install and keep playing any games bought through the Xbox PC app long after those games are no longer available to play via Gamepass.

    My idea/suggestion is simple:

    Since you are allowed to play bought Xbox Gamepass games after they are no longer available on Gamepass, PLEASE Microsoft PLEASE make ALL bought & paid-for Xbox games playable on PC via

    the XBox PC app. That would draw in TONS of new Gamepass subscribers because it would

    suddenly give PC gamers a MASSIVE new amount of games to play on PC. EVeryone whom owns or

    has owned a gaming PC knows how small the decent game library is for PC gamers compared to

    console gamers. But just imagine if all PC gamers suddenly realized that by joining Gamepass,

    not only could they play the 100+ available Gamepass games, but they could add to their

    permanent game collection by buying and installing any/all Xbox games Microsoft offered via

    the Xbox game store. Sure, that might not encourage PC gamers to go out and buy an Xbox console,

    but it would keep these new Gamepass subcribers subcribed to Gamepass indefinately because

    in order to play the games they bought via the Xbox PC app, they would need an active Gamepass subscription to keep playing those games.

    If on PC ONLY then you only need the gamepass PC version which is cheaper as Gold is not needed. if you have an xbox then ultimate would be the best choice.

    All games in the Gamepass on PC are then downloadable and playable.

    The games you can use depends on the performance of your PC, if you don't meet the min specs of a game you wont be able to play that game.

    Streaming your xbox to your PC via the companion app is just that, strwaming, the processing is done on your xbox and it then shown on the pc. This would require gold as you would in essence be playing on the xbox console.

    The only Xbox games currently playable on PC are play anywhere titles, and GamePass PC games. Here are a couple links that will show the current titles playable on PC via both schemes, firstly here is a LINK

    1. ea games via gamepass on PC are completely disconnected from xbox live, all it does is tell ea you have a sub and the games run via ea desktop app, so there is no cloud saving for those games.

    2. majority of pc games via gamepass on PC don't support cross save or cloud saving, you would need to start afresh on the console versions.

    Hello Josef and John,

    I have the same problem with Fallout 76. So it can't be due to the PC and the settings. The Xbox app claims the game is very playable on my system. I have already started several attempts, installed several times via the store and the Xbox app. Since I bought the game and didn't get it with GamePass, it's doubly annoying for me that it doesn't work.



    I have to keep reinstalling the game to run at least once. Only all my characters are then deleted.



    I'm open to more suggestions!

    Did you sign up to Xbox GamePass for PC or for Console? If you signed up for Xbox GamePass for Console , some games, specifically play anywhere games are still playable on PC. You need to sign up for either GamePass on PC or GamePass Ultimate to access
