    Really hope to get an answer from someone at Xbox about this as I made a Reddit post at it seems I'm not alone. VERY recently (a few weeks ago) I noticed my Kinect (which has always worked great) started not hearing/understanding my voice commands (even
    standing one foot in front of the sensor in a quiet room). I've done all the basic unplug/plug in, recalibrate many times, move, etc and nothing fixes the issue.

    I am a member of the preview program, is this a known issue? What the heck is going on? One of my favorite parts of the Xbox One is completely useless at the moment.

    What happened to full kinect calibration/setup

    Common problem. The software issues disabled the Kinect functions entirely on several levels. It no longer recognizes any movement to wake the console up after it sleeps, it does not hear and recognizes a small movement or voice commands, even if it is calibrated
    correctly.

    Issues with audio, kinect, and bluray.....

    I watched a bluray last night and everything was fine. Today when I tried to watch a bluray, the sound no longer works. The kinect will recognize my voice to turn on, but then says it is disconnected. The bluray player now wont play any movies. And there
    is now no sound. I checked my settings, receiver, and cables and that isnt the problem. Anyone have a suggestion?

    From Miss Portia's latest message, it appears that Microsoft's proposed solution is for the customer to send the Kinect unit in for repair, which, according to the web page she linked to, is free if still under warranty and $80 or $90 if not under warranty.
    When she says "it is a Kinect fault" and we need to "repair the Kinect sensor itself", it sounds like she is saying this is a hardware problem. However, it seems rather clear that this problem was caused by a Microsoft software update, and therefore is not
    a hardware problem. The Kinect hardware was working fine until the recent software update. Microsoft's software is not allowing us to use the Kinect hardware which we know works fine. It is not reasonable that we should pay to "repair" a problem that was
    caused by an error in Microsoft's software.

    it could be a fault somewhere in the xbox/adapter/Kinect have you tried to narrow it down at all like trying a friends Kinect with your xbox or trying your Kinect with a friends xbox. this would narrow its down a little. I would also suggest trying it with
    another account as this could(unlikely) be an account issue. if you do not have another account simply create a free one using an outlook email and try it on the brand new account.

    They are probably working on Multi-language voice recognition support for Kinect + Skype & also updating Kinect Sensors software with Skype Sensor Technology.. It can take awhile..
