Main xbox account stuck on locating server when joining friend's world

What if someone has an xbox account but doesn't use a console except they're using a mobile phone like apple or android, like for example I have a phone that has the xbox app and when I play minecraft using my xbox account (because I logged into it) and the issue is there, the steps that fixes the issue work? (sorry if this doesn't make any sense I'm bad at english)

I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

My friends can join eachother but when i try to join it just get stuck on locating server and never does anything im struggling and ive reinstalled my game and my console, btw im on a ps4 and they are too and i connected my xbox account. The only
reason i was on my bros ps4 was to be able to talk to them while playing minecraft anyway its not working.

I have had the same problem, I get stuck on the locating server screen whenever I try to enter my friends world. Me and they all play on ps4 and we don't know the cause of the problem.

I did everything on the list, I can't tell you why it's not working, but I'm still stuck on 'locating server'

Would you please follow the steps below?

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Gaming Services > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Restart your computer. Open the Microsoft store and sign in with your Microsoft account. Open the Xbox App and sign in with the same account as the Microsoft store. Open the Xbox Console Companion app (install it if you don't have it) and also sign in with the same account.

- Check your computer region/country and language and please make sure it is the same as your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com/profile). Also check if your time zone and date/time is correct.

- Go to Start > Type services and press enter. Find all Xbox services (Xbox accessory management service, Live auth manager, Live game save, Live networking service, Gaming services). Right click on each one of them > Properties > Set the startup type to Automatic. Also start them.

- Try to play Minecraft and see if the issue persists.
