Madden 19 Xbox One X Promotion

I purchased an Xbox One X yesterday after recently seeing the promotion that I could also get a free digital copy of Madden 19. After setting it up I can't figure out how to redeem this. Any help or suggestions?

I've linked the current promotion below that does not indicate this expires on a specific date so it was my assumption this was still valid.

Free game with purchase of an Xbox one

For how long will the promotion last where i can purchase an Xbox or Xbox bundle and get another free game with it? Such as Madden 19. This promotion looks to have just started up again and i was wondering how long it will last.

If you bought it at a participating retailer, they would have given you a code for the game. If you did not receive a code, you would need to contact the retailer you purchased it from to make sure they are taking part in the promotion and to see about getting
your code.

I spoke with GameStop and they said their promotion ended August 18th, I purchased on the 19th. However, on the site it doesn't indicate this promotion ends on the 18th. Seems a bit misleading to not indicate and end date if it's such a short promotion.
