Madagascar 2 Xbox 360 game playable on xbox 1?!?

I have the Madagascar escape 2 Africa game( Xbox 360) but it’s not letting me download it on my Xbox 1. It tell me error (0x8082000c) I’m having trouble and would like to know If I can be able to play it on my Xbox or not. Would appreciate some feedback!!

That game is not backwards compatible. So it won't work on the One.

Ok so just had an idea, since they will be porting over the 360 to the Xbox one, can xbox games that were playable on the Xbox 360 via xbox be playable one the one?? For instance, I really love Star Wars Knights of the old Republic 1 and 2..... they were
for Xbox and we're playable on the 360, could those games theoretically be played on the One??

The SW Battlefront 1 and 2 have a xbox one version, while the unleashed are only 360 games, playable on xbox one by backward compatibility.

Follow these steps to see if you can play your original Xbox game on the 360:

If your game is not in this list, it will not be playable on the 360. The last original Xbox games that were given 360 playability were decided upon back in 2007. No additional original Xbox games will be given 360 compatibility.
