Thanks for coming to the forums. As Onyx stated the console is overheating. Make sure you have the console in a well ventilated area. Also it could be the fans that stopped working. As Onyx also mentioned, Microsoft no longer repairs the Xbox 360. If continues,
you will need to replace the console. Here is a guide for

I highly understand where you're coming from, but as I mentioned earlier the steps to troubleshoot the issue are on the link I provided above.

If that is something that doesn't resolve the red light issue, that means the console would need to be repaired/exchanged. Unfortunately, services for repairing/replacing 360 console's is no longer supported by Microsoft.
