Lumines DLC - Qubed compilation disc

Yesterday's release of E4 to back compat had me digging out my Qubed disc to install and play it. While I had it, I decided to see if support for the on disc DLC for Lumines had been added yet.

Currently, only the base pack for Lumines installs from that disc, but on the 360, that disc includes nearly all the available DLC. I was wondering if this was an oversight that has simply gone unnoticed since its release, or if there is some reason that
the DLC from that disc is not supported via back compat. The most frustrating problem with it is that there are two DLC skins (Heavenly Star and Breeze) that are no longer available for purchase digitally, but exist on that compilation disc. Should I continue
to hold out hope that the DLC might become compatible in the future, or is it simply not possible?

Thanks for the heads up! Just curious, is this all on one disc or multiple discs? Let's start out by navigating to Lumines Live's 'Ready to install' list by highlighting the game's tile , pressing the Menu button on your Xbox One controller, and then selecting
'Manage game'. Do you see the DLC in the 'Ready to install' list there? Be sure that the disc is in while you're checking.

Qubed is a compilation disc for 360 that included Lumines (along with most of its DLC), Rez HD, and E4. It was released in 2009, and all content was contained on a single disc. The only DLC for Lumines that was not included on the disc is the "Booster Pack".

I've tried the Manage Game -> Ready to Install steps before, and retried them again tonight, and can confirm that this still does not list the DLC. To be thorough, I also attempted to uninstall the game completely, reinstall it, and try the DLC again, again
with no success. Attempting to access the DLC from within the game itself simply prompts you to purchase it.

My (admittedly uneducated) guess is that the disc simply isn't flagged to enable the DLC for some reason. It's just unclear whether this is intentional or an unintentional omission. Thanks for your response, and I appreciate you taking the time to look into
it, whatever the outcome.

 

Gotcha, thanks for the extra info, vanadiumxero. If you haven't yet, please do fill out the
survey regarding backward compatible games. That information gets passed along to the appropriate teams for them to look into it. Please note that this does not guarantee a resolution, however.
