    Lucy 4K discs maunufacted by universal studio still not working after one month


    The moderators of this board say that engineers are looking into it. Are the moderators even reaching out to someone that is assigned to this issue or are the moderators just looking at a company board notification that states "the issue is being investigated"?
    It doesn't seem like the moderators are being pro-active with this issue in helping us because a month has passed by. And let me guess. A moderator will respond with "Our teams are aware of some trouble and are still looking into this. Thanks a ton for your
    patience with this! For updates on this issue, keep an eye out on this thread. Thanks!" Which is basically a copy and paste job from the moderators from another thread that they posted that response in a month ago.

    Still having problems with Xbox One S Blu Ray app not playing 4K Blu Rays

    This issue HAS NOT been corrected. The XB1 S STILl cannot play the Lucy 4k UHD disc

    Regarding the Oblivion (and Lucy) 4k blu ray issues:

    I'm getting the "run around" from every person i've talked to, and there are multiple threads in forums around the internet with people having problems with 2 Universal published UHD discs: Lucy and Oblivion. Same syptoms: freeze at blu ray app launch/loading.

    I've tried the following to get Lucy to play, with no luck. Here are the things i've tried for reference:

    Removing profile and re-adding profile.

    Power Cycling, multiple times,

    Uninstall/reinstall blu ray app.

    Moving blu ray app to internal drive instead of external.

    Turning off HDR support.

    Turning off BD Live support.

    Clearing the persistent storage.

    Nothing has worked, and i've tried 3 different UHD Lucy discs from 3 different best buys in my area.

    Any help, or running this up the chain will be greatly appreciated. Lots of people (including myself) bought this primarily as a UHD player, and many are already considering returning it for a standalone (i'm not there yet).

    4K Blu Rays no longer playing after initially working

    Nope, it isn't just one disc. It is 6 different 4k blu ray disks from different studios. So none of the 4k disks work after that August 6 update. Whereas they worked prior to that.

    Well Universal is sending me out a replacement Lucy disc. If this does not fix the issue then I want a full refund for the Xbox one S so I can purchase a real UHD player.

    Hey there Ritter Lean,

    Sorry to hear about the issues playing the movie. You mentioned that others were working, but not this one. To clarify, is this a 4K UHD disc that you're using on an Xbox One S console? Is this an official studio release or perhaps a BD-R disc you made yourself.

    I can confirm that both Lucy and The Hunstman: Winter's War are titles that are affected. As I mentioned, you'll need to reach out to the title's studio in regards to your disc. They should be able to best help you out.
