    Good morning guys,

    So I have noticed on my Xbox One X and Series X that my download speed is about 10% of what I have, when I have apps or games running in the background. Just now I'm downloading the new Doom at 20 mbits per second. When I shut down Valhalla and one app, my download speed goes to 280 mbits per second!? Do apps and single player games reserve Internet bandwidth or something?

    Do you have a high-speed uninterrupted internet connection, and your computer is connected with a LAN cable?

    If slow speed internet means, Sync will not work at all times.

    Before playing games, close all running programs,, disable background running applications, allow game files in firewall app.

    It uploads in the background when it doesn't disturb you so close all games and apps then it will upload faster. It could also be what MorseyBaby that you have a slow upload speed.

    You could run an
    internet speed test     and check your upload speed.

    My internet speed is 1Gbps and my series x is plugged into the router via ethernet. But, My series x is only getting 200mbps with nobody on any devices and no games running in the background. Additionally, the latency on my series x never gets below 60ms whilst my other devices get as low as 9 ms. How do I fix this speed discrepancy on my series x.

    I believe it depends a lot on your internet speed as well, but also not having anything else running or downloading in the background can help.
