Lost Xbox account now new one is locked

Now I just tried to create a whole new xbox live account and redo the whole process. I tried to make a new account with the same email that I used to create the account that I lost. I thought you were only allowed one account per email address? Anyways it
worked and now I have a free xbox live account. But now since I used my 7-day pass with my lost account I can't use it again.

Also when I made the account this time I got a verification from the Microsoft Account team which I did not receive last time. The only email verification I got when I made my account that got lost was from Call of Duty for verifying their registration.
The 7-day code was from Call of Duty, so would this maybe have something to do with it?

One important thing to note is that certain actions invoke a 30 day security lock out on accounts. While in this lock out you will be unable to make certain changes to accounts including changing the Microsoft Account. You will still be able to use the account
normally, you just can't make further changes for 30 days. This is to help protect accounts, if someone should steal your information and start to make changes there is a one-month window for Microsoft to be able to stop them before everything gets changed
and there is no more information on the account to prove you own it.

One of the things that can create the 30 day lock is one you create a new Microsoft Account. You can use the new MA to make a new gamertag, you just can't move an existing gamertag to the new MA.

Right now it certainly sounds like your nephews account itself may be in the 30 security lock, but of course it could also just be the new account you created.

It sounds like you might of forgot your password to sign into your xbox

On the xbox one there is a setting called "Lock it down" which means you will need to enter password to log in purchase ect.

For which account? the one I'm on right now? or the one that got lost.
