Lost Volume and Mic on console after connecting via Win10 App

I've just bought turtle beach call of duty phantoms for xbox one ( it says they are xbox one compatible ) I've got adapter on pre-order, ghosts game volume is out of this world , problem is I did have mic volume but after fiddling around with headset buttons
I've now lost mic volume altogether , does any one have any idea please guys.

Still no luck for me on purchasing BF1 Premium Pass.

I've tried via web, via mobile app and via Windows 10 Xbox app.

Web give me the error in this thread.

Mobile App - No purchase button appears

Win10 App - No purchase button appears

The only route I have not yet attempted is via the console itself as my console is in for repairs.

so far, every pair of headphones i have plugged into the controller have allowed mic monitoring, and you can directly control the mic monitoring volume via the side menu.

I've reached out to @XboxSupport and the finally directed me to online support. My son can use my phone and login, on the app, and send messages but I cannot. I can send messages via the Win10 app and on the console

ok, got it, try this other method.

First, make sure your headset mic is not muted. Go to Sound Settings > Microphone > Input Volume, set the volume to 100, and test by speaking or lightly tapping the headset mic to see if the mic meter registers activity.

After that, check your microphone privacy settings in Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone. Make sure the Xbox app and your gaming apps have microphone access turned on.
