Lost my games after soft reset why?

Sometimes games and content get delisted and/or removed, in such case games can be lost; if you have them backed up to another drive you should just be able to copy them back.

the order history only goes back a couple of months, whereas I bought most of these games years ago. I also tried to remove my account and add it back and nothing showed up in ready to install.

Please try to check your games in the order history in this following website : Microsoft account | Home just to make sure that the purchase was through your account. However, if the games are in the account, I suggest removing your account and add it back.

Then all of your games/DLC should show up in the "Ready to Install" list in "My Games & Apps".

Ahh i did a soft reset now i lost a 117 games in my ready to install list an everthing broken.

Hi, just a question. As it turned out, a soft reset after a power-cycle seemed to do the trick. My question is: If the services are unavailable, why was a power-cycle/soft-reset the only way to get them back if everything else seemed to be working? I
was on XBL, my network runs at 150GB upload/download and was at minimal load at the time of occurrence?

That just seems to be the standard answer, power-cycle/soft or hard reset but no one ever says WHY that is.
