Lost Minecraft character after migration?

I seem to have lost my Minecraft character after migration. I used to play Minecraft Java with a Mojang account. At some point, I was offered the Windows 10 version so I made a Microsoft account and played it using the Xbox Console Companion. Both accounts were associated with the same Minecraft account, as in I was able to play with the using the same skin and username for both Java ed and Windows 10 edition. Well recently I've migrated the Mojang account to the Microsoft account. While everything in Minecraft Java is fine, it seems as if my character in the Windows 10 edition has been overwritten. When I boot up the Windows 10 edition, it just shows a default character and it now has my xbox gamertag rather than my old username associated with Mojang. Did the migration overwrite the previous Minecraft data associated with my Microsoft account? My world/server in the Windows 10 ed is still there, just not my original account/character.

Per your description, it seems that you have a problem related with Minecraft Launcher installation.

Because this error is happening after migration, the best approach is to contact Mojang on the Mojang Help Center by selecting “Contact” at the bottom and letting them know about this particular problem you are experiencing. In addition, you can report it as a bug for Mojang to track and create a ticket. They may ask you to confirm your Xbox purchase history, which we recommend doing in a different tab while submitting your support request.

How do minecraft.net and launcher have anything similar? What I said is, I can't get access to the minecraft.net page as it says I haven't bought Minecraft even though I have and my Minecraft launcher has everything ok, except for the part that I can't login into my Mojang account because I think it was deleted

Go to Minecraft.net and download the Windows 7/8 launcher. That should work.

It appears the Windows 10 launcher is bugged.

Hello again, try to contact Xbox Support, there have been some has been an issue since yesterday and I'll guess it is been worked on, I'll suggest you try again after a few hours and also try using multiple browsers as well.
