Lost Gamerscore Points

Any help will be appreciated, my Gamerscore has recently dropped by over 5000 points, if memory serves it should be 35132 (give or take) but now reads 29940, a big thumbs up for any help.

Lost Gamerscore Points

Basically, you're going to have regain all that progress again. They are gone forever, I'm afraid.

Here's why. When you recover your gamertag on another console (your friends),
Xbox Live views the last console that you recovered the account on as the location of that
gamertag. Until you recover it on your own console (which you never did), the only progress that is set to
Xbox Live is the data on the last recovered console (your friends). Any progress made on a console where the
gamertag wasn't recovered will be ignored.

In the future DO NOT use the "Recover Gamertag" to move between your friends console and your own. It is not meant for that. As well as the lost data you have already experienced, you can corrupt your
gamertag if there is a network interruption during the recovery. Instead, move your gamertag onto a USB stick. There are a few advantages to do this over recovering the gamertag:

Speed:

How long do you have to wait until the gamertag is recovered? You're waiting for it to recover, when all you want to do is play. When you plug the USB stick in the console, all you need to do is load the gamertag, and you're
ready to play straight away.

Reliability:

As I already said, the profile can be corrupted during the recovery process.

Security:

When you leave your gamertag on a friends console. That friend has full access to your account. If your friend decides to play a joke on you, and mod your Avatar so it's bright green. You will be permanently banned for that,
not him. You'll lose all DLC, Map Packs, Arcade games, etc, not your friend. Because you, and you alone are responsible for EVERYTHING that happens on your account. If you use a USB stick, your gamertag is always with you.

I can sympathies with you, as I lost most of my progress in Dragon's Age the same way. All I can tell you is take it as a lesson learned, and move on.

If there is no GS correction listed on enforcement.xbox.com then this is just a common glitch that will fix itself within a few days.

whhe my gamerscore remained intact wouldn't be such a big thing if they didn't i'd be bummed if i lost my MS points though
