Lost Digital Copy on Xbox One. (Games installed without a disc)

Good Evening,

This issue that I am experiancing and hoping to share to see if anyone else out there has experianced anything similar is that I digitally downloaded Battlefield 4 with all DLC and Premium from Xbox Store, meaning no Disc. I had the game on my hard drive
for about a month no problems, but then I go to play the game after about a week playing other games on my 360. Then I log on to Xbox Live on my One Console, then the game say's "please update' So I download it.

Then the game pauses and freezes in the install on the update, having dealt with this problem before I reboot my Xbox One, now my digital copy of Battlefield 4 is deleted and I have to redownload the enitre game again which if it takes the same amount of
time it did the first time it will be about 2-days of downloading....

Yes you read correctly, about a 2-3 DAY download time.

Is there anything out there that I can do to avoid this problem in the future and to speed up my download time?

Buying Disc and Digital Of Same Game Question

As I understand it the process works thus:

Friend brings their game to your Xbox One, installs it and starts playing (with the game disc in the drive). Friend then leaves, taking game with them.

The game is fully installed to the console hard drive, but can not be played without the disc. When you attempt to load the game you are asked 'Do you own this game?' If the answer is 'yes' you must insert the game disc to continue.

If you don't have the disc, the on screen prompt will direct you to purchasing the digital copy. If you purchase the digital copy, your already installed game will be unlocked to play without a disc. This process is very quick, you do not need to download
the entire game from the marketplace.

 

I want my games to run off the disc not the digital copy

That's because your games do not run off your disc.

Not even the ones you only own on disc.

You use the disc to install the game digitally to the Hard Drive of your XBox ONE.

Then because it's a disc copy that acts as your Digital Rights Management and allows you to play the game that is installed on your Hard Drive..

When you own the game digitally only this DRM allows access without the disc.

i'm sorry to hear, your download will take 2 whole days.

If the game was deleted on your console, you have to download it again. there is no copy or backup on the harddisc which could be used.
