Lost Cloud saved data in Starfield

I've been encountering issues with my Starfield saved data syncing to the cloud on my Xbox Series S.

To address some in-game bugs, I deleted my saves only on the console, leaving the cloud saves untouched, hoping it would help. Starfield offers multiple save slots, and this approach of resyncing all my saves slots back had worked in the past. However, my recent attempts to sync the saves have only resulted in one save slot from a month ago being synced. Despite multiple attempts, including waiting for hours for a resync, only one save from a month ago is syncing. I'm genuinely concerned that I may have lost all my progress since then.

I've been connected to the internet the entire time, and my internet connection is stable. I've also tried restarting my console and the game, but the issue persists.

I suspect this issue comes from the fact that only the one save slot a month ago has synced in the cloud, and I would like to know if it is possible to roll back a cloud-synced save to a previous point in time, especially if my recent save slots aren't in the cloud. I'm willing to sacrifice a day or two of progress if it means recovering the rest of my saved data.

Restarting the game from scratch is something I'd like to avoid if possible, so any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your reply. To clarify my query, I don't have a local save, and I only have the cloud save. The only saved data slot it currently holds is from a month ago, not the more recent data. I don't want to continue playing until this issue is resolved. I hope that clears things up. I understand that there is no way to roll back a save to a previous point in time. However, I am considering contacting Xbox Support about this and wondering if they would be able to help recover my lost saved data.

Just to understand your query, you have a local save and cloud save. You do not want to use either saves to continue your game.

Unfortunately there is no way you can roll back any save to a previous point in time, both with cloud storage and local storage.

i remember now how i did it.

1. go to the xbox that doesn't have most recent data. delete Starfield's "Saved data" (under manage game and app).

2. Open game. instead of syncing with cloud (which will put you in endless loop), sync last saved data.

3. Ignore error message ("some game objects will be lost" or something like that).

This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

“Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???

I have the same problem. I play Starfield on Cloud Play and I just lost 3 days of progress. My latest save is now from 4 days ago.
