    lost cable box control


    its been awile now but I lost the cable box control with the app on win 10, I can still control it with the app on my Samsung note 5,so I know the issue is with the pc app. I have already tried uninstalling the app and signing back in,not sure what happened
    but I would like it fixed. any ideas?

    Help with Cisco 9865HDC cable box!!

    My Xbox one will not control the Cisco 9865HDC cable box. I even bought IR blaster to set in front of cable box and it still will not control it. The xbox will control my tv and surround sound though.

    Conflict between Comcast box and Xbox One Guide

    Let me add that it DOES recognize my cable box when it's off or on (aka it will say it lost the signal when I turn it off, and I can see it when it's on), but I can't use voice controls or the controller to navigate my cable box. I have to use the remote
    that came with the cable box. So, it's not completely unrecognized by the Xbox, but right now it's basically just running the audio/video through the Xbox without the ability to use the Xbox and its TV features.

    Xbox One losing TV signal

    Same boat as others. Worked most of the time prior to May update. Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 to Xbox one to tv. Straight forward. Cable box set to 720p only and 4:3 ratio. Like recent guy, mine will connect fine with tv app IF I leave my cable box
    on ALL the time. If I let Xbox control cable box on and off it almost always resets box to 480p after initial lost signal screen. Come on guys...you are going backwards!!! It was bad enough that Xbox couldn't handle my leaving cable box on 1080I but now 720p
    doesn't even stay connected. Something needs to be done to boost signal from cable while using instant on mode. Anyone find a solution.....Please share.

    Two remote issues: Samsung TV, Cox digital cable mini box Cisco DTA 250HD

    I've had some success with this!!

    I'm using the Cisco DTA-250HD box with Cox Communications. I was able to control the box by positioning the cable box at an angle towards the Kinect and then manually entering the code information.

    Device control --> cable or sattleite box --> remove cable box --> cable box set up --> enter it manually --> cox cable communications --> select Cox --> enter it --> dta250hd --> select DTA250 --> set IR Delay to slow

    You cannot as far as I know. The Xbox One cannot control those features of the Cable Box. But I do not have cable so I haven't tested it. I have heard it won't control that or the DVR on your cable box.

    I forgot to add the most important thing is to get your cable box recognized by going to 1. settings 2.TV & oneguide 3. device control 4. Cable and satellite box 5. Search for your box or manually use satellite box remote control
