Lost ax and pickaxe. Has not returned. Please assist.

Diamond makes it fast enough in my opinion, just annoying that in the current 360 version Redstone takes way too long to mine even with a Diamond pickaxe.



Also other odd things like fenceposts and wooden slabs take a REALLY long time to destroy even with an axe. I found the best way for those right now is to use an iron pickaxe, really strange.

There is also a notched pick axe and an ore vein for upgrading glass items, can't remember the name. The notched pickaxe ups your smithing while equipped and does some shock damage. Kinda cool if you ask me.

I like the idea of Obsidian tools but if doesn't change anything, you would still have to find Diamonds to break the Obsidian and it takes a long time to break, So the speed you can mine is lost when gathering Obsidian for tools.

I've noticed this also, I've stopped using an Axe for wooden steps and fences, I found using your fist is a lot faster then an Axe.

FYI, you can use silk touch axe on the ore and store the ore until you get a high fortune axe to mine it.

using this method i have over 2000 spare diamonds

and 6 x 64 stacks of diamond ore using a silk touch pick axe
