Lost all my data in Overwatch 2

In Overwatch 2, all progress (levels, cosmetics, credits, etc.) is saved to your Battle.net account, not your Xbox account.

What likely happened is that when you linked a new Battle.net account (perhaps without you realizing it), the game now loads the progress from that empty account. This is why your progress appears to be lost when you return to Xbox.

I am pretty sure if you have a cloud save available, the first time you load up Overwatch on the Xbox One, it will sync data.

I would say before you load up Overwatch, do the following:

1. Remove your profile from the console

2. Power cycle/ reset your console

3. Add your profile and sign in.

No it just loads a level 1 profile, as if it was my first time playing the game.

Is it possible it somehow "replaced" my old save file at some point? According to Blizzard your battle.net account has nothing to do with your save data, so I don't understand what possibly could have caused this. I have not manually deleted anything either.

I've looked into this a little bit and on the page for Deleting your Blizzard Account is specifically states it will result in the loss of :

• Purchased games, codes .... and in-game items
• Game accounts and all game progress

Among other things. So I would verify with Blizzard support as to why their documentation would contradict their support.

Yeah I just looked at this too, and if this is the case, I suppose I should just accept it and close this post.

Were you in contact with Blizzard before the deletion or after the deletion? Where did you read that deleting your Battle.net Account would not result in the loss of data on that account? I didn't think you could play Overwatch without a Battle.net account
unless signed in as a guest. Is your progress currently saving between play sessions (when the game is shut down)?
