    Lost Access to Destiny Pre-Order after attempted refund for a different Product


    I lost access to my pre order bonus "Iron Gjallarhorn and Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow Pre-order Bonus" after a Microsoft support representative I contacted canceled Destiny Rise of Iron instead of the product I was looking to cancel. After several times contacting
    support, a helpful representative directed me to this support page and told me that this section would solve the problem.

    I’m wondering if I can refund a pre order that I made for destiny 2 forsaken dlc. It hasn’t even come out yet and I want to refund it because I don’t want the dlc anymore. Is this possible? If so, how?

    How do you cancel digital game pre-orders?

    They aren't saying to buy physical. They are saying why pre-order digital where there is the added risk of not being able to get a refund, because there is no refund policy in place? When you pre-order physical, you don't carry those risks because you can cancel the pre-order before or after the game launches.

    Unfortunately we aren't able to offer a pre-order bonus once the pre-order has ended. Really sorry to hear you lost access to it. To clarify, did they cancel your pre-order before the game was released or did they refund your purchase after it's release?

    The Microsoft support representative somehow refunded my Destiny: Rise of Iron purchase that released TWO MONTHS AGO instead of what I wanted. I wanted to cancel the ONLY active pre-order that I had. With the embarrassing mistake made by your company, I
    lost access to the pre-order bonus "Iron Gjallarhorn and Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow Pre-order Bonus" that I was enjoying. I put my hard-earned money on my Rise of Iron pre-order that I could have spent on more important stuff, to ensure I got that bonus. I am
    not happy that I lost it due to a mistake caused by your SUPPORT department. I had to contact Microsoft support 5 times yesterday, which took up my entire day. I don't know why it took them so long to respond to my requests. My friend encountered a similar
    situation with Sony support but they resolved the issue for him. I want my DLC back, and I don't care what you have to do to resolve this for me. If you don't return WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE, I want to be compensated for my inconvenience.
