Loss of star progress

Hi

Just checked my xbox live rewards account to find that I'm still only on 2 stars even though my purchases before new year should of put me on 3 stars. The points for my last purchase are showing as 31st December 2016.

Obviously being on 97% of the way to 3 stars only to have it reset for the year is a slight annoyance especially when I a made a purchase at least 6 days before the cut off.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Resetting your Xbox One settings won't affect your game saves, as they're saved in the cloud and can be downloaded at any time

will you lose your game progress like Gta 5 money if you reset your Xbox one settings. My little brother can't go online cause its asking for the password which I think he forgot or its not working. Is there anyway of fixing this with out the loss of his
saved account
