Loss of digital game ownership

I have played cod black ops (digital edition) since the 360 even on the xbox one. But out of the blue i was given an error code that said i need to own the game to play. (I bought it years ago digitally) so i tried to reinstall it however the game was
instead deleted off my console, and it removed my ownership of the game. Its not even in my download history, even though i have the achievments for it. Many others have had this issue it seems dozens of people have lost ownership of a game they already bought...

I have not found it in the billing orders, what makes it peculiar is my account is the only one on the xbox that has bought any games. Ive never made a secondary account or shared accounts. My 360 was wiped and sold when the one came out. the game has worked
from when it launched backwords compatible on the one.

Anything you own will show as owned in the Xbox store as well as in your purchase history, Having achievements for a game doesn't prove you own the game. It really sounds like another account owns the game and just removed your console from being allowed
to use it

First check on
https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders if the game shows up there.

While browsing through my order history, I found that a lot of my purchases now show "Points purchase" instead of the item that I bought, so I realized, the page became less useful to find his ownership proof of purchase.

Also check, if you had a second account sometime in the past, and accidentally bought the game on a second account.

Having the achievements for a game doesn't prove your account bought the game, as the Xbox consoles can share purchased games from a different account. Be it on the 360 that downloaded the game first after purchase, or the Xbox One "Home Console" of the
purchaser, both consoles can share a purchased game with anyone playing on that specific console, and will award achievements, as if the playing account owned the game themselves.

So before contacting the official support via
https://support.xbox.com/contact-us check if you had a second account that could have bought the game.
