    Losing picture and/or sound while watching TV


    I'm having big problems watching Sky TV through my Xbox One with the sound cutting out intermittently for no apparent reason. I've got audio settings set at uncompressed stereo, and am connected only through the HDMI in (i.e. no optical cable etc).

    Occasionally I'm getting a black screen when I switch to watch tv or change channel.

    The only way I've been able to resume either picture or sound is by powering off the console and/or the Sky box and powering back on again, even then it's not a reliable solution as it sometimes takes a few goes before it recovers.

    Any suggestions? It's really annoying because we just got the Oneguide features in the UK and I'd rather watch TV through Xbox One than having to connect the Sky box directly to the TV just to watch it without losing sound or picture.

    What is X.V. color?

    There is a picture setting called x.v.Color on my tv, should i use this while watching tv or movies?

    1-2 second black screen.

    Hi,

    My xbox keeps losing sound and picture for a couple of seconds. Its not my tv as all other devices work fine.

    It happens once or twice an evening.

    No Sound since update

    I have also been having issues. I will have sound for a couple of minutes (while watching tv) then lose my sound. I have also run through all my sound options and they are fine. I have yet to test playing a game but I'm frustrated enough. Though I have a
    longer time with sound while on my fumigation app. But will still lose sound.

    I also have a Cisco cable box and am having this issue. While setting up bounces back and forth between "let's watch Tv" and "looking for your tv picture". Talked to xbox and service provider and sounds like I'm about to get a new xbox.

    Popping sounds while watching tv.

    Just spent half an hour with Microsoft support. They basically said it must be my model of settop box and to plug it straight into the tv in the meantime. Bummer.... Nothing like getting a brand new toy and having to wait 6 months for it to work properly.

    Anyone else experienced this? I have the Rogers next box 2.0 PVR (Cisco Explorer 8642HD)
