    Losing audio on Xbox Series X with Samsung TV and Surround


    Almost every time I switch between a TV/ movie app such as Hulu, Prime, or Netflix and go to play a game (any game) I lose audio and have to turn my Xbox off for a couple minutes for the audio to come back. If I turn the Xbox on too fast the audio will still be out. Please help me with this issue as it has been going on for over a year and it is super annoying. Thank you anyone in advance I really appreciate any assistance.

    it only happens to the Xbox X series + Samsung TV. I have Xbox one and a sony TV as well. I tried Xbox X series + Sony TV and Xbox one + Samsung TV. both work...

    i am having the same issue as yours, except, the sound bleeds to the other surround speaker,, on the Neflex test pattern, the sound from the left surround channel will bleed into the right surround channel and vis versa.. i have the xbox one x connected
    deerfly to my surround sound receiver.

    i have tried all the audio out options on the xbox, uncompressed, bitstream, dobly digital, and DTS, the surround bleed is in all the issues

    This does not happen when i play the Netflix test through my Samsung smart tv

    did u find any fix ?

    for your second issue, i believe Samsung TVs do not pass through 5.1 surround sound from an HDMI in to an HDMI ARC out. if you put in 5.1 in HDMI in, you will only get 2 channels out of HDMI ARC. other tvs do not have this issue, but Samsungs do

    Xbox360 HDMI into Suround sound then to tv?

    I have a samsung surround system(forget the model) and use the digital audio cable for my surround sound an hdmi cable to the tv for the video. I think it works better than the hdmi through the surround reciever.

    Hi Geri,

    Yes, I have tried using eARC to loop the audio signal back into the receiver. And I still get the same result,

    I would eventually lose audio. I do use HDMI 2.1 cable (2M).

    To Recap v2:

    Older Samsung TV and older Marantz SR7012 A/V receiver, new 8K HDMI Cables-Result-AUDIO LOSS

    NEW LG OLED C2 TV and new Denon x4700H A/V receiver, newer 8K HDMI Cables-Result-AUDIO LOSS

    eARC on both TV sets have been attempted and still have the same audio issues. HDMI 2.1 8K cables used

    XBOX Series X multiple times Factory reset but kept games and apps.
