I despise loot boxes because it's making companies lazy. They just put loot boxes into their unfinished games for money and never fix the game. Activi$ion is the biggest one. They put loot boxes into everything even when there's no reason to.

I knew that when the big three video game companies made it mandatory for developers to reveal their loot box drop rates, that it was over for loot box gambling. I never really gambled with loot boxes, because the odds are always against you, so I simply
took what was given for free as rewards and left it at that.

I think that if we were to all just go cold turkey on all games that have these loot boxes then the developers would have to listen, or at the very least if we stop purchasing loot boxes that might help.

I'd much rather just pay a few $ and have the cosmetic item that I want than to have to go through all the loot boxes getting every other item before the one I actually want.

That would be easier said than done, I just don't pay to get loot, especially cosmetic, it adds nothing to the game.

Neither, as long as the content contained in the loot boxes can also be unlocked through actions in the game as well or if the loot boxes can be unlocked through playing the game. Also whether the loot boxes contain purely cosmetic items or items that
can heavily influence the game play. It's a grey are but can be done well for both the customer and company.
