Unless anyone knows of something else. I've been looking at the Eve Spectrum but I don't know if I trust that and besides they are talking about late Dec for launch. Both Asus and Acer have HDMI 2.1 monitors coming out but not until Jan/Feb 2021.

I really don't understand how manufactures couldn't have compatible monitors ready in time for the release of these new consoles. Seems to me that they blow a lot of potential sales for this holiday.

    Hi,

The LG CX OLED (55 inch) is also a top candidate for next generation gaming. My advice would be to check out reviews on sites like

    Tech Radar
(their reviews are pretty spot on).
    Back in August
, Digital Foundry did a run down of up and coming TV's for next gen consoles.

While monitor take up is increasing for console users, the main users of these displays are still primarily PC gamers (like me). And, since the main way to connect high end gaming PCs to a monitor is Display Port, there hasn't been much call for HDMI 2.1.
The reason being is that DP 1.4 is already high bandwidth at 32 Gbps, which is considerably more than HDMI 2.0 (18 Gbps). And up coming DP 2.0 will be 77 Gbps!

At the moment, most PC gamers don't need the 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 delivers unless they're after super fast refresh rates of 165Hz and beyond.

Well I was speaking of affordable options. Naturally I'd love to go with the LG CX OLED but first I don't need a new TV, my 55in Samsung MU6500 is only 3yrs old, and second I can't afford it. I'm looking for something small enough to put on my desk and
not cost me a fortune. Right now it looks like the LG Nano 85 is it although at 48in it's still bigger then I'd like. The Samsung Q60t has a 43in model that has HDMI 2.1 but only supports 60hz. What's up with that?

And I know if I were running one of these TV/Monitor manufactures I'd be wanting to take advantage of the fact there are two highly anticipated Consoles showing up for the holidays that support HDMI 2.1. Hell, even the new Nvidia 3000 series and AMD 6000
series graphic cards will be out in time for the holidays with HDMI 2.1 support. But I'm not in that industry so what do I know.

What is the best Smart TV 4k UHD or Premium UHD for gaming (Xbox One X & PS4- PRO) to get on Black Friday 2019?

I think the best option is the LG OLED line.

If you go with the LG C9 or better, you're also future-proofing for next gen because they support HDMI 2.1 where we could see higher than 60 FPS frame rates.

I've been holding out to see what kind of Black Friday deals become available with the LG C9 55" myself - I think this is the absolute best option for gaming today and down the road.

My second choice would be a Samsung QLED (Q80 or 90) as they'll also support HDMI 2.1 which will be huge for the next gen Xbox.

I don’t blame you for wanting a TV with HDMI 2.1 as you definelty want to future proof yourself. If you are concerned I recommend purchasing a TV with supports HDMI 2.1. I recently bought an LG OLED CX model that has four HDMI 2.1 ports. These TV’s are
expensive so be prepared to spend a lot.

    HDMI 2.1 to Displayport

The monitor you mention only has HDMI 2.1 sadly. The only monitor I've found so far with HDMI 2.1 is the EVE Spectrum.

    https://evedevices.com/pages/spectrum
    You mean HDMI 2.0?

LG have yet to release and confirm the full spec's of the monitor, yet some claim to have had an email from LG stating that it has HDMI 2.0, not HDMI 2.1, which i don't believe until LG release the full spec's,

The EVE SPECTRUM monitor uses the very same panel of that LG monitor.

When i posted this up, the EVE SPECTRUM was going to have HDMI 2.0, but recently they announced it will have HDMI 2.1, as to why i didn't include it in this post,

However i did make a post of this, the day after the EVE SPECTRUM confirmed HDMI 2.1, link below...
