Looks like its official... Mouse and keyboard very close to coming to Xbox console

Mike Ybarra Tweet on Sep 25, that Keyboard & Mouse are very close to come to Xbox Plataform. He mentioned on his tweet that they are working to ensure fairness and good performance, that will came using a feature of multiplayer pools, looks like this will
be implemented to make the experience more fair for everyone, aparently who wants to choose controller and avoid players with K & M will be able to do it, in other words, you will be able to choose in what kind of pools of player you want to come in.

In my persnal opinion i think is a good option, i preffer to play FPS with K & M and other kind of games with Controller, also will make more easy to play strategic games on the console, also looks liek you can combine mouse and controller, wich looks like
an intersting combination.

I don't think they'll bring keyboard and mouse support to the Xbox 360 but there's already been mention of it coming to the Xbox One

No your not able to play with a mouse or keyboard passively on a large majority of games on consoles as the developers don't support it. I've only seen 2 or so on console truely support it.

Thats why I've opted to use a XIM4 gaming adapter that I plug a mouse, keyboard, and official Xbox One controller into then plug the device into my Xbox One. Its basically a racing wheel equivalent but for mouse & keyboard.

It's perfectly legal to use.

 

I think this is a fantastic idea. So players get a choice of what type of tools or in this case controls they use. I would personally stick with a controller.

 

One thing that many people are ignoring is that once we have K & M support on Xbox, MOBA games like League of legends or Dota can now launch on Xbox !

This will take a lot more competition, more in the crossplatform games. I think this is a good feature.

 

What I am waiting for is what developers are going to do with the new support. Can we make Keyboard Macros, similar to PC, will we be able to fully re-map keys, etc. The real burden of implementation is going to fall on the developers.

 

I really like all the possibilities that will open up with this. K&M is just better for some games even if a lot of times they have done wonderful jobs mapping the controller and the UI on the xbox version of the game.

 

I think it's great and hopefully this helps developers to bring us games like Age of Empires and Gears Tactics to Xbox.

 

Thats a great point, with this strategic games will be so esy to play in console, maybe Starcraft my favorite Saga will be re-released on console
