    Looking to replaced Xbox because of lightning strike


    I have multiple questions.

    Preface, My apartment got struck by lightning and my xbox series s and monitor do not work anymore. The Xbox turns on for about a minute but nothing on the screen turns on. I've seen it called "beep then off" online.


    1. I think the problem with my xbox is that the PSU is fried, could I get money for trade in somewhere for what still works on it?


    2. Which Series should I get, Series S or X?


    3. Should I look at getting a new console or is certified refurbished worth looking into?

    Xbox series s was hit by lightning and wouldn't come on, so I replaced the power supply and the light came on with the ding sound but nothing else, no fan running or any video, what else could it be?

    If it was a lightning strike literally any number of components could've been damaged inside so its hard to say with any certainty.
