Looking for Xbox One X Cooling Recommendations

I've had my console for a few months now, and absolutely love it. However, I've started noticing that the back of the console gets very hot after only an hour or so of playing. I suspect this is normal. But buying this console was a huge monetary investment,
and I would like to protect that investmant and not have it die early on me from overheating. I've done some simple Amazon searching, and see there are some aftermarket, 3rd-Party accessories I can buy to help with cooling. Most of them appear to be vertical
stands. I'm not interested in vertical stands, as I have to keep my console horizontal on a TV Stand under the TV, and have no room beside it for the console. The only other alternative to vertical stands I've found are some clip on fans for the back of
the console that use a spare USB port. One brand has a simple on/off switch (not ideal since it would, in theory, run when the console is off), while the other has a setting for AUTO. I'm curious if anybody has bought this accessory and if they would recommmend
it or suggest I stay away. My Xbox360 console also had trouble with overheating and I bought a clip on fan (from Nyko I belive?) and it saved the console. I'm just wondering if anybody has bought these and if they think they do the job. Or do you have something
else to recommend?

Xbox One S 1440p on 4k monitor

I'm not in the Preview Program thingy, have an Xbox One X console still in it's 12 month manufacturer warranty, have a Sony 43' KDX8000E 4K HDR TV, and my 4k connection is working fine. Yay. And YES Microsoft already has 4k support on Xbox One X. The Xbox
One X can do some 4k gaming since it has better hardware than the S model (12GB GDDR5 @ 326GB/s bandwidth, a faster processor, vapour cooling is better than air cooling).

I personally would advise against additional external fans etc, since it can disrupt the intended airflow in the system, which can result in damaging the console.

As long as there is enough space around the console and vents are not blocked it should be fine.

Just to add to what WPAK has already said please make sure your console has been positioned to allow sufficient ventilation and also please be aware that use of any accessory
not sold or licensed by Microsoft will
invalidate the warranty.
