Looking for the name of a certain xbox game

All i remember from the game is you are looking for pages to a book and you have an insanity gage or meter and when it gets to high you start seeing things like monsters and blood on the walls. I remember you play as a man. Last i watch someone play it
was 2002 to 2003 so i cant remember the name of it or much more details about the game its self. Can anyone help me?

Not that I remember, at least along the lines of that style of gameplay. Another game with a sanity meter I was addicted to back then was Galerians, I sank so many days into that beast of a game.

Thanks! I was/am a huge fan of the Resident Evil games and I picked it up thinking it was going to be like RE by the cover art. While it wasn't that I ended up sinking a good amount of time in it as it was totally different than anything I had played at
the time. I had forgot all about it though until this post, I'm surprised the name came to me.

I'd never heard of Eternal Darkness before but it sound pretty awesome from what I looked up. You've got me intrigued. I'm gonna go keep reading up on the lore of this game while I run on down to Game X-Change to see if I can't find a copy of it.
