Looking for more info on Ban Appeal

So I was banned in October of 2015 for Account Theft/Phishing/Solicitation permanently after I license transfered with a friend and I just want a little more information on how ban appeals work. I was uneligible for appeal a few months back but I signed into the account recently and I was able to request appeal. This ban was the first enforcement I’ve ever had and I did not steal anyones account my friend gave his password to me willingly so I can license transfer and play a game with him. I did some research and concluded with the license transfer feature was there for sharing games with friends so I don’t believe I broke any rules. Given this was my first ever enforcement action and it was a misunderstanding of some sort on Microsofts side or mine what are the chances I will be unbanned? I have a lot of indie games on that account I really want to play as I recently bought a Xbox 360

No. They typically only reverse suspensions/bans when they make a mistake on their end.

Is there anyway I can get my games back or get compensation for what I lost on the account

It's a little odd that it did let you submit a review since the ban was issued so long ago. Typically the enforcement team do not review actions over 12 months old.

Whether or not you would be unbanned would be up to the enforcement team, but using the license transfer feature to game share is a violation as it's considered marketplace theft. It's also a violation of the code of conduct to share your account information with anyone else. License transfers are meant to be used in the event you get a new console so you can move your console license to you new console.

I was fully unaware that was a violation of conduct. But since it did let me request appeal will it be reviewed despite the date of enforcement?
