Looking for help to restore gaming performance to normal speed after Windows 11 update

Hi - after running the latest Windows 11 update (around 12/1/22), the gaming performance of my PC (HP Gaming Pavilion 15) has dropped dramatically, to the point that I cannot play any games at normal speed. Outside gaming, the speed of my laptop seems fine (same as before). Any thoughts on what I could do to restore the normal speed for the gaming features?

*P.S. I already tried updating my Nvidia drivers, but this didn't resolve the problem

Hi, thanks for your response

I went to the bios menu and pressed the option which labeled "reset system settings to default". However, it seems it did not do anything as my games are still running very slowly/laggy (same as before)

Can you set back your BIOS settings to default if you had made any configurations with it?

Hi, thanks for your response.

Windows 11 and version 22H2

The update included a bios update, and it is after that update that my pc's games started to run very slowly

Installed games have the same amount of lag as cloud games (very slow)
