looking for cords for Xbox 360 s

Optical Audio Port 'Wiggly'?

That's how they are made. I have Astro A40's and the mixamp that goes with them the optical cord that fits into the mix amp is very tight and fits in just fine, however the back port of the Xbox 360 where the other end of the optical cord plugs in is a tad
wiggly, it shouldn't have any sort of problems at all, and it just happens simply because the cord doesn't fit all the way inside the Xbox 360's optical port.

 

Replacing my console-- will it work with my standard-def-only TV and WIRED network?

I'm keeping (salvaging) the AV cords from my old console. The old console is a pre-2009 Xbox 360 that just died. I need the AV cords because I'm not in the market for a new TV and HDMI and VGA are useless on my current TV. Will the old 360 component/composite
cords plug into my new Xbox 360-s that I am about to purchase? The cord has the switch on it that decides between TV and HDTV.. Also, does the 360-s have a place to plug in an ethernet cable (aka a network cable to go to the router) or are they FORCING US
to use the Wi-Fi?! I am a real greenhorn about the Wi Fi stuff and only use CORDED connections for security reasons.

Thanks for bringing this inquiry to our attention here on the forums. For an Xbox 360 S you are able to use any HDMI cable to connect to your television. There is also an A/V option (with the red, yellow, and white cables) for use with older model televisions.
The Power supply itself you can usually find at local video game stores or 3rd party online sites.

Unless the controllers already have cords attached, they're wireless.

If you carry out an internet search for Xbox 360 play and charge kit it may be easier to try to purchase a new kit alternatley you could try searching for Xbox 360 battery cover (presuming you do not already have this with your controller) and you will then
be able to use regular batteries in the controller.
