Looking for a hack and slash real time tactic game

Title pretty much says it all, sorta looking for like a kingdom under fire type game. (It was an xbox original game for those who havent heard of it)

Gr8 Game. I have always called this game the underdog because of due to the time it was released it was against some real big titles. I am awaiting to see if/when any more DLC comes for this one. A great hack/slash/mash/destroy etc game.

 

Diablo 3 confirmed for XB1 release

Hack. Slash. Hack. Slash. Hack. Slash. Hack...

...are we done yet?

You can probably see why I'm not excited for this.

 

Not knowing what you already have played doesn`t help us suggest you any titles.

 

Literally nothing of the genre except what i mentioned, any tips or help would be sweet

 

Yeah, I'm not sure what you mean, but I'll suggest the Ninja Gaiden series as that's pretty tactical, I'm not sure if it's the type of tactical you're looking for though.....

 

With a gamerscore close to half a million, you surely have played most of the games out there.

 

Dragon Age: Inquisition

You control your character's actions and by hitting the "Back" button are able to freeze the action and program the strategy for all your party.

Of course if you want to take this to the next level the game's Kinect features allow you to instruct party members verbally as well so there's no need to have an immersion breaking pause.

 

^^Maybe we've been playing different versions of Dragon Age, but I wouldn't classify it as hack and slash.

 

Dragon Age: Inquisition Can totally be a hack and slash if you want it to be.

Just get a two handed weapon warrior and hold down the right trigger. My Inquisitor is a warrior and I use Cassandra(warrior) and Blackwall(warrior) to protect our mage, Vivienne. In a triangle formation. I use the "hold position" command with the mage
and switch between warriors to hack anyone down that comes close.

Of course you don't have to play it like a hack and slash, you could play it slow and use the Tac camera to flank the enemy with mages or rouges.

The cool thing about Dragon age is that you can play however you like.

 

And GTAV can be played as a FPS, that doesn't mean its a FPS.

 

Yea well I never said DA:I was a hack a slash game, just that you could play it like one.

No, it's more of a Hack and Slash Real Time Tactical Game like the OP said they are looking for.

If you're playing as a Mage you're not going to be doing that much hacking or slashing but as a Warrior just pull the Right Trigger.

Then you can use the Tactcal Pause or Voice Commands to direct your comrades in battle.

Also "Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate" is an excellent suggestion as besides battering legions of enemies you'll need to keep a close eye on the flow of the whole battlefield to succeed.

 

Really any of the Warriors games can. Go for the newer ones though, you do have to follow the flow of the levels.

 

I personally wouldn't consider DA:I a hack and slash, but that's just me....
