Long story please help report a tag

In august of 2021 I had an OG tag. It was stolen from me and now they finally sold the account. How can I report the gamer tag? I got the tag from a Microsoft’s legit reset in 2016. They bought it which is against policy?. Please help.

ALSO? Is their a way to prove my account was stolen ? i miss my tag I had it for years. I know all the information to it up until the tag was taken.

Also this isn’t about me getting the tag back , it’s just sad it was stolen then sold for greedy profit.

If your account was compromised, you would need to contact support. They would ask for information to help get the account back. However, if it was stolen years ago, they may no longer be able to do anything. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Actually your tag would have been changed because they looked at it. That's how they would have determined it violated the code of conduct. It doesn't matter how long you've had a tag, it just means it took that long for someone
to report it.

It only takes one person's to report it for the enforcers to look at it

It just took that long for someone to look at it and report it
