Long boot up times

Every time I turn the console time I'm waiting a good 3+ minutes for it to make it past the Xbox One logo screen.

I've tried the hard reset method and deleting and re-downloading my gamertag etc but nothing seems to work.

Is this the norm for everyone or is it just my xbox which is really slow?

Ever sense I plugged in my ps3 to my power strip neither of my two xboxes will boot. The screen stays black and theres no ring on either of the xboxes just the controllers. I find it funny how as soon as i plugged the "competitors" console neither of my
xboxes will work. I cant access the dash board obviously to clear my cache.

Have you got your Xbox in "quick start" mode, if not that's the only reason I can think of that would make this happen as it normally takes a few seconds.

Go to settings, and then down the bottom there should be an option called "power options" (I think) in there is where you can change the power status of your console.

quick start (or whatever its called) basically puts your console into a sleep mode when you turn it off, it still draws a little amount of power, but it means it will turn on much quicker and it will also download game updates while you are at work (or school,
not sure of your age)

 

You could try going into Settings, System Settings, Console Info & Updates, Reset Console then Reset & Keep My Games & Apps

 

Yeah i get this now after the last update, my XB1 now does the very same thing, over 2:33 mins to start from a cold boot, but from standby it is almost instant, but it is noticeable, before the update the XB1 was like 30 seconds to load the dashboard, of
course i never leave the XB1 or anything on standby as i am trying to not give Scottish power any more money than they already steal from me. lol

But i suspect there will be some sort of patch at some point for those who are having these boot issues, so it is just the waiting game.

^^Yeap, terrible company, i have spent 10 months trying to leave them to go to another supplier, and they have been the mosy unhelpful and obstuctive company i have ever had to deal with, i moved home last year and it was a Scottish power meter that was
in the house when i moved in, one of those 3 rate nonsense one's that only SP use, and i am still fighting with them to get everything updated so i can actually pick my suppliers and leave them.

They are almost like mobsters from the 30's in the way they try at every turn to block you leaving them and dforce you to take their suppliy, and one of the highest charging out there, i will be glad to see the back of them and soon i hope.
