Logitech profiler and gamepass problem

I know you'd like to pretend that you're helping and that you know what you're talking about, but you don't, so stop. You're making yourself and all other Xbox Ambassadors look bad.

Windows has tight security on the folders and files for the games downloaded from Gamepass. You will need to contact Logitech and describe your issue with them. Also let them know you are trying to create a profile for a game installed via Gamepass.

Exactly! I know that their reasoning/excuse will have something to do with "DRM" and the fact we don't actually own the game, but that just means that their whole system needs overhauled. Steam sells plenty of games that require monthly fees (Final Fantasy
XIV is on Steam for example), World of Warcraft has a $15 monthly subscription but I've NEVER once had an issue locating the .exe for WoW or using my mouse-binds with the game.

This is Microsoft! Of ALL people they should be able to fix this issue. They made Windows 10, the OS that we use, they made the Xbox (Beta) app, and what that '(Beta)' in the name means to me is that they don't have everything fleshed out yet. I shouldn't
even have to change permissions on a folder to be able to view it to find the .exe.

I was able to work around the issue temporarily by choosing another random .exe on your PC that won't be running while you're playing Gears5 or other games (I used FRAPS for example as shown in the above screenshots), which will let you click "okay" and
create the Gears5 profile, and then you can create your binds and set your DPI, etc, then right click the profile and choose "Set to Default". This only causes issues if your mouse DPI while you're not playing games is different than when you do, or you use
your extra mouse buttons for non-gaming related stuff. So once they fix the issue you'd want to find your profile named "Default Profile" and right click and set it back as your default profile that's active when you're not gaming.

Also if they are doing this as a way to prevent hacking programs from hooking into the .exe they've already failed (

Have a good day! My last piece of advice for Gears5 is to spend a bit of time under the Graphics options and cap your ingame max framerate. I have a 144hz monitor personally, but I set my capped framerate to 120, and turned down some of the options so I
can keep a stable 120fps throughout matches. The game might not look as amazing as when I started playing Multiplayer with all the graphics options on High, but not having dips during combat down to 80-90fps has been worth it. It could be just my anecdotal
personal experience, but having a steady 120fps has made the game feel so much better than when it was bouncing from 80-130 depending on how much action is going on.

...It should be a relatively straight-forward fix involving the currently incorrect permissions of the 'WindowsApps' folder. This is one of the most popular gaming mice in existence, and it is clearly a problem that is on your end, not Logitech's, and not
ours....

The permissions of the "WindowsApps" folder are not incorrect.

Unlike Steam or games you actually "own" as "regular" Win32 programs, the games from Game Pass are "rented" to you as long as you have an active subscription. In order to prevent people from manipulating the game or circumvent the DRM involved with this
subscription based "renting" of games, it's necessary to have strict permission-restrictions in place to keep the user out of the folder. It's similar to the protected storage of apps on your smartphone, where you also can't directly access the storage where
apps are installed to.

So you need to contact Logitech, that they can update their software so it works with the restrictions of the WindowsApps folder.
