Logitech Ghub G604 mouse not working with EA/Steam Starwars battlefront 2. contacted both...

I'm gonna be honest. I dont see how this is a microsoft issue. but i'm out of options.

I have a logitech G604 mouse that is 100% supported by SWBF2. Mouse works 100% on every other game and app I own.

for some reason - not SWBF2. EA said not their issue and sent me here.

i've reinstalled ghub twice and SWBF2 once. i've fiddled with a dozen options in Ghub, steam, and SWBF2 options. i'm completly out of ideas. the internet has failed to help me come up with even one suggestion that didn't make things worse.

logitech even sent me a new mouse thinking it was a hardware issue. really nice of them. i have an extra 120$ mouse now. but still no mouse support for this game.

currently. my mouse gets detected as a geneic 5 button mouse. (left, right, middle, and 2 side buttons) my mouse has 6 side buttons and 4 additional buttons to be mapped.

the game only sees the input from the mouse as 'mouse 1-4' despite the fact that the mouse buttons are mapped as keyboard key strokes. changing the mouse buttons to other keys or mouse buttons has zero effect in game. I've never had a game NOT detect the emulated keystrokes on my mouse.

again. i have no idea how this could possibly be a microsoft issue. but if anyone wants to suggest something - anything - even just pointing me in the right direction for how else to fix this issue. i'd be really thankful.
