Login problems with MSFS2020

    Login problems with MSFS2020


    I have a MS Account as ,,,,,,,,,,,@hotmail.com, I also have my gmail account linked to it as ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,@gmail.com.

    I purchased a MSFS2020 code from Amazon and registered it with my account. Originally I did this on my old laptop and when I tried MSFS2020 it was all working except that the graphics card was not up to scratch. I have since bought another laptop and reinstalled
    MSFS2020.

    When I try to run it most of the modules are greyed out and I cannot use it. I contacted the flight sim support guys who keep saying that I am not logging in with the same account that I registered the product with and as such MSFS thought i was not the
    owner and could not offer any further support.

    I log in to windows with my hotmail account and if I go into the MS Store it shows that I am also logged in with my hotmail account but MSFS2020 still does not work. I have tried logging into the store with my gmail but as it is linked to hotmail
    it still logs me in as my hotmail account.

    The Store shows my product in the library and my account online shows my product. Amazon sent me a code to use via Xbox.com.

    Can anyone help as I am going round in circles and getting nowhere.

    If my installation of MSFS2020 is corrupted can I unstall and re-install it?

    I found the problem thanks to Bernie on the Prosim737 forum. The issue arises when you don't install MSFS2020 on the same drive as Windows in the default location. I'm going to try a couple of work arounds that were suggested but if they don't work I will have to re-install MSFS2020 in the default location.
