Logging on my fourth player on Minecraft is not working.

Thanks for answering. This problem just started on the 12/6/23. Logging on fourth multiplayer has been an reoccurring issue but we have been able to fix it by logging of and on again. We constantly play Minecraft ( up to three multiplayer) every week so our multiplayer setting is always on. We don't have Xbox Live so we don't play online just local multiplayer. We have three wireless controllers and one wired. So when we try to connect the wired one it just doesn't work. There is no message that says error on the screen, it just doesn't sense the fourth controller.

For the trouble connecting the fourth player in Minecraft on Xbox split screen, you can try the following solutions:

1. Hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.
   
2. Restart your game.
   
3. Restart your console.
   
4. Check your internet connection.
   
5. Check if you have an active VPN service.
   
6. Check the video mode by going to Settings > System > Console Settings > Display - Make sure this is set to 720p or higher
   

For the controller issues, try the following steps to fix it.

1. Turn off your Xbox One fully by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the system for 10 seconds.
   
2. Unplug your console for a few minutes.
   
3. Use a micro-USB cable you know is good (try others if the first doesn’t work) to connect your controller to the system.
   
4. Plug your Xbox back in and turn it on using the power button on the system.
   
5. Try to unplug and replug the controller to the computer if you are using it on PC.
   
6. Use a different USB cable if you are using a wired controller on PC.
   
7. Update the Xbox One Controller Driver or the driver using Driver Easy.
   
8. Restart your system or controller.

We understand that the fourth player cannot join the multiplayer group in Minecraft. As per description, the first, 2nd and the 3rd player has no issues but when the fourth log in come, there's the issue. This can not be a hardware issue as he can open another game.

Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern. However, before we proceed, we would like to ask few questions about it.

1. When did the problem start?
   
2. Was this working before?
   
3. Recent activity or changes made before the issue appeared?
   
4. Did you check multiplayer setting is ON?
   
5. Was there an error message that prompts?
   

These above questions would help us provide the necessary information. Once we have gathered all the information, we will formulate the viable solution to help you with your case.

For the meantime, let's check on this and analyze the issue together.

One possible reason is that the multiplayer game toggle is turned off. You can check this by navigating down to the “Multiplayer” section and making sure that the option at the top is toggled on. Another possible reason is that there is an error occurring. Check to see if all joined Minecraft servers are unable to connect, or if the problem is happening across multiple servers. If it is only happening on certain Minecraft servers, the problem is likely with the server itself.

This is for others who are seeing this --- got it to work.

The problem was with split screen, Local game. When one (of four) profiles logged on, the game would freeze up, and flash the BOPS2 logo in the lower right part of screen. It would work fine with just the other profiles --- only when adding the problem
profile would it hang. We could reproduce this condition at will.

So, we started a game with the other three players, and the fourth player (with the problem profile) as a guest. All worked fine and we played a whole game. The fourth player (with the problem profile), logged out of guest, logged in on her profile, and
it started working again, and no problems since.

Not magical, but got it to work.
