Logging into Xbox.com account problems

My xbox was extremely laggy so I contacted a xbox tech and they told me to reset my xbox. Well when i did that i had ti sing into my account. I can not remember the password associated with that account so I had to make a new one

Yes your Xbox Live account has gotten, to use and engineering term, out-of-whack. It could be for many reasons. It is obviously not your password as you can get on your Microsoft Account just fine. It could be anything from a glitch in the database, questionable
accesses, to not having signed the ToCs and the deadline passed.

Microsoft associates such as us have no authorization to make changes. You will need to contact support. Hope everything clears up quickly.

So, I have consistently had a problem with logging into my xbox.com account for more than a year now, and I can’t figure out how to fix it. When I sign in instead of showing my profile pic in the top corner it just changes the look of sign in button,
and then pressing it does nothing. When I try to view my account, it just brings me to a random help page. Because of this strange problem I am not able to log into bungie.net as it just brings up an error page after I put in my microsoft account login info. However,
I can log into my xbox one with no issues, my xbox companion app with no issues, and my microsoft.com account with no issues. My password has been reset multiple times, and I have tried logging in on many different devices. Does anyone know how to fix this?
