Logging into the Xbox app requires a pin I can't set up

I'm trying to log into the Xbox app on my computer but can't because it's asking for the pin associated with my microsoft account. When I attempt to set up a pin it tells me that service isn't available.

It doesn't have the option to remove the pin, or a link for a forgotten pin, and it doesn't look like I can set up a pin. How do I fix this issue?

Maybe this pin is related to the PIN you set on your computer, did you try to use it?

Are you referring to the pin you use to sign into Windows 10? If you open the Xbox app on a mobile device are you prompted to enter a pin or password?

We can’t log in anymore my pin is gone and when I click set up my pin it asks for an app in Microsoft store how do I get out of here? I already tried resetting my computer
