Logging into Minecraft on a new device issue

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues logging in to a different computer and you're being asked for a PIN.

If the option I forgot my PIN is available, select it and follow the instructions to reset your PIN. If there are multiple accounts on the device, choose the one you need to reset. This option is only available for Microsoft accounts, not for local accounts

If the option I forgot my PIN​​​​​​​ is not available, you must sign in with your password and then reset the PIN from the Settings app. Select Sign-in options and then select Enter your password

You can also use the Settings app to change your PIN.

In the Settings app on your Windows device, select Accounts > Sign-in options or

Select PIN (Windows Hello) > Change PIN and then follow the instructions. You must enter your old PIN in order to change to a new one

If you forgot your PIN, select I forgot my PIN and follow the directions to verify your account and create a new one

Thanks for coming to the Xbox forums. We recommend first trying to log into the
account website to make sure there are no issues. After that, try rebooting the device you are trying to sign in on. then try and sign in again. Also if you have Minecraft on another
device like Xbox or PC, log in on that one then try the pocket edition while logged in on the other device.

To change the Microsoft account affiliated with your Minecraft account, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the Minecraft game on your device and log in with your current Microsoft account.

2. Click on the "Play" button to start the game.

3. Once the game has loaded, click on the "Options" button in the main menu.

4. In the options menu, click on the "Profile" button.

5. Click on the "Log Out" button to log out of your current Microsoft account.

6. Once you have logged out, click on the "Log In" button to log in with a different Microsoft account.

7. Enter the login credentials for the new Microsoft account and click on the "Log In" button to link it to your Minecraft account.

Keep in mind that changing the Microsoft account linked to your Minecraft account will also change the account linked to your Xbox Live achievements and friends list.

Minecraft forums and
Mojang support. The error you are getting is one of their errors. Have you tried signing out of Minecraft on all other devices then log in on the phone?

How can I add the Nintendo switch console in the list of devices and apply the new grants? My daughter is logged in (Minecraft) using her xbox account but no new device appears here.
